Phil Circle: Music
There's A River
My Dad, Thomas Robert Circle, also known as Bob or Circ, was a tremendous influence on me. He was always supportive of whatever I strove to do, never questioning my ability to succeed, and was quick with answers to questions in numerous areas of interest, or advice in times of trouble.
"Hey Pops, what was that battle where Napolean beat the Prussians?"
"Austerlitz. He was outnumbered three to one and just marched right up the middle."
That sort of thing.
I still occasionally reach for my phone to call him with some question and then pull away a little sad,
as I recall that he's no longer with us.
This song reflects much of the philosophical approach that he took to life and that I hopefully adopted.
I wrote it within days of his death due to complications from Alzheimers and cancer,
and dedicate it to his memory.
R.I.P. Pops, I miss you and I love you.

There are videos of him telling stories.
